This heating element is only used on the S-8 series of Heat Surge Roll & Glow electric fireplaces. It is located in front of the S-8 super high air flow fan system. Easily replaced in about an hour. UNPLUG CORD FROM WALL BEFORE REPAIR: Remove metal cabinet from the Amish wood cabinet. Remove the screws around the top, and lift cover off. The workings of the system are then in clear sight.
